Foodex 2012

Venue: NEC, Birmingham, 25-Mar-2012

Foodex, formerly Foodex Meatex, is the exhibition for anyone involved in food and drink processing, packaging and retailing. The food and drink sector is the largest area of manufacturing in the UK, with a turnover of more than £70bn and employing over 500,000 people.

Although Foodex Meatex has always played host to exhibitors from across the whole food and drink sector, it has been perceived as a predominantly meat show. WRBM took the decision to re-brand the exhibition as Foodex, in order to communicate the broad appeal of the show from meat, poultry, fish and dairy, through to vegetables, drinks, confectionary, cereals, organics and ready meals; all major sectors are targeted, including:

The heritage of the show has been vital to its success, and will certainly not be forgotten following the re-brand – a number of initiatives, including the Meatex Top 50, have been introduced to ensure that the meat-processing sector stays central to the development of the show

Foodex 2012 will run from 25th - 28th March and is co-located with Baking Industry Exhibition, Food & Drink Expo and The Convenience Retailing Show, Café+ @ CRS, Baking Industry Exhibition, Off Licence Show and IFFE.  35,000 visitors are expected through the doors.
