Explaining to readers the current pricing and promotion strategies of the supermarkets? Or analysing share prices, commodity costs and the value of sterling and their impact on the market and on inflation?
Award-winning WRBM flagship title The Grocer is one of the UK's top business weeklies, and is going from strength to strength - growing subscriptions, doubling web traffic, constantly developing as a brand and improving its offer, despite the recession, to meet the changing demands of a fast-moving market.
We¹re looking for a highly numerate business journalist who can beat the competition (including the nationals) and help The Grocer set the agenda in the fascinating and fast-moving grocery sector.
You will be expected to get the scoop on the companies behind big brands like Mars, Stella, Walkers, Bird’s Eye, and Heinz (and up-and-coming brands like Eat Natural and Organix) while charting their interaction with the giant supermarkets. There will also be opportunities to write features, profiles and analysis pieces.
